Longines Champions Tour of Miami Beach Has Officially Started!

Mayor of Miami Beach Philip Levine presented Jan Tops, President of Longines Global Champions Tour, with a Miami Beach Centennial Coin.

The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) of Miami Beach kicked off with a press conference that was held at the beautiful 1 Hotel South Beach, the Official Hotel Partner for the event. In attendance was Tour President Jan Tops, Mayor of Miami Beach Philip Levine, former Tour Champion Edwina Tops-Alexander, Jessica Springsteen, and defending Tour Champion Scott Brash.

“I don’t know if I can make it three (Championship) wins, you have to have a fantastic team of horses and be consistent throughout the year. “It’s Unbelievable to be here, it’s special, we’ve never had another show like this anywhere in the world, right on the beach. I said to Jan, “I don’t even feel like I’m at a horse show!””.- Edwina Tops-Alexander, 2011 and 2012 LGCT Champion.

At the conclusion of the conference, Mayor of Miami Beach Phillip Levine presented Jan Tops, President LGCT, with a Miami Beach Centennial Coin- Miami celebrated their 100th year last Thursday.
